Society for Eradication of Living Fragmentation, Holistic-Healing and Enhancement of Livelihoods for Poor (SELF HELP) started its functioning from 29 August 2003. The organization has undertaken selected activities which were related to making people aware and  healing them with alternative healing systems like Pranic Healing, Homeopathy, Marm Chikitsa, Yoga etc. SELFHELP has also taken initiatives to provide and improve Livelihoods to most disadvantaged people, especially visually challenged persons.

The focus of SELF HELP has been to work with selected target group termed as – ‘Most Disadvantaged People’. In our understanding, most advantaged people are those who are in disadvantaged situation from more than one reason. We include following in most disadvantaged category –

• Poor and physically / visually challenged (Differently abled persons)
• Poor and widow/ orphan
• Poor and Senior citizen/ Older persons
